The Boat Holiday - Tackle Suggestions Personal Gear
Clothing and Personal Gear
Duffel or soft luggage bag: Bring a plastic trash bag for dirty and possibly damp clothes storage.
Clothing: Weather can be hot or cold, so pack for both.
Depending on the length of your trip, pack at least one change of clothes per day.
Pants, shorts, shirts, hat, bath towel, socks, sweats for night wear, Undies, warm jacket, wind breaker, wash cloth.
Rain Gear: Seldom needed, but appreciated when called on.
Footwear: Comfortable rubber boots, we suggest 'Extra Tough' brand, or anything comparable with a good marine sole. Flip Flops are good for relaxing, but we do not suggest fishing in them.
Toiletries: Shampoo, soap and toothbrush etc.
Polarized Sun Glasses: Neck strap to prevent falling in the water or bait tank.
Sunscreen: This is a must have and waterproof is best.
Rod Belt: A personal choice either a leather cup type or a hard pad with kidney harness will work fine. (Depending on length of trip)
Camera and Film: Plenty of film
Pliers: Side cutters or dykes
Photo ID is Mandatory: Proof of citizenship such as a passport or certified copy of your birth certificate may be necessary in the future to comply with the U.S. Homeland Security Regulations.
